We’re excited to welcome Alexandra Alvarado, Director of Marketing and Education for the American Apartment Owners Association (AAOA), to this week's OREIA Market Update.

She’s going to discuss several items of concern for housing providers right now and what she and AAOA members see
happening. Time permitting, she’ll touch on:

  • Security Deposits
  • Issues Providers are having due to COVID-19
  • Creative ways to deal with rent collection
  • Pushing for better legislation

AAOA was formed in 2004 by professional property managers for housing providers and managers. Since then, it has
grown to over 110,000 members across the country. Alexandra has had a huge role in this growth since she joined the
organization in 2016.

Alexandra’s role has her creating a ton of great educational content in the form of webinars, blog posts*, interviews,
seminars, a bi-weekly e-newsletter, and so much more! She is also key in developing partnerships between AAOA and
groups like ours at OREIA. Her insight is something you don’t want to miss!
